This Privacy Policy explains what information TheScope180, LLC (operating tlaketia.com and the Career Intelligence Portal) collects from you, how we use it, who we share it with, and the rights you have over it. By using our services, you agree to the terms of this Privacy Policy.

1. Who we are

This Privacy Policy applies to tlaketia.com and all portals, applications, and services operated by TheScope180, LLC ("Company," "we," "us," "our"). T. Laketia Jones is the founder and named mentor; services are delivered through TheScope180, LLC.

2. Information we collect

We collect the following categories of information:

Identity and contact: your name, email address, and any phone number you provide
Career information: your current role, target role, professional history, and any resume, cover letter, or career documents you upload
Portal activity: when you sign in, how long you stay, which tabs you open, which documents you view or download, which LinkedIn snippets you copy, your AI Mentor questions, your payment events, your playbook progress
AI Mentor conversations: the full text of every question you ask the AI Mentor and every response it provides
Mentorship session data: session bookings, calendar events, and (where you authorize it) post-session transcripts and notes
Payment information: processed by PayPal — we receive the transaction confirmation, amount, and a PayPal order ID, but we do not see or store your card number, CVV, or full bank details
Email engagement: whether emails we send you are delivered, opened, clicked, bounced, marked as spam, or unsubscribed (see "Email tracking" below)
Technical information: your IP address, browser user-agent, screen size, time zone, and approximate geographic location (city / region / country) inferred from your IP at login

3. How we use your information

We use your information to:

Deliver the Services you have purchased, including generating your tailored career documents and LinkedIn copy
Provide AI Mentor responses personalized to your portal content
Schedule, deliver, and follow up on mentorship sessions
Process payments and issue receipts via PayPal
Send transactional emails (welcome, scheduling confirmations, reminders, post-session follow-ups)
Spot-check the AI Mentor's outputs for quality and to make sure its responses match how T. Laketia would coach in person
Improve the Services over time
Comply with legal obligations, prevent fraud, and enforce our Terms

We do not sell your personal information to third parties. We do not use your information to train third-party AI models.

To deliver the Services we use the following vendors, each of which receives only the information needed to perform its function. None of them are authorized to sell or repurpose your data:

Your email address, the email content we send you, and engagement events (opens, clicks, bounces)

To deliver transactional emails reliably and report whether they reached you

PayPal Holdings, Inc.

Your name, email, and payment amount

To process payments. PayPal's own privacy policy applies to its handling of your payment-method details.

Google Calendar & Google Meet

Your name, email, scheduled session time

To create calendar events and video links for mentorship sessions you book

AI meeting assistants and transcription providers (including Eva by Marblism, when used)

Session recordings, transcripts, meeting metadata, and mentorship notes (with your consent or clear notice)

To auto-record, transcribe, and summarize mentorship sessions when used; outputs are stored in your portal so the AI Mentor can reference them and so we can deliver a post-session summary

5. Email tracking

Emails we send you include a small invisible tracking pixel and wrapped links so that Mailgun can report back to us when:

The email was delivered to your provider
You opened the email (when your email client loads images)
You clicked a link inside the email (which URL, when)
The email bounced, was marked spam, or you unsubscribed

We use this only to confirm important emails (welcome, scheduling) reached you and to gauge whether content is useful. You can disable image loading in your email client to prevent open tracking. If you reply "unsubscribe" or click the unsubscribe link, we will stop sending you marketing emails (but will still send transactional emails like payment receipts and session reminders).

6. Portal activity tracking

When you sign into the Career Intelligence Portal we record:

The time you signed in and signed out, and how long you were active
Which tabs you opened (Documents, Playbook, LinkedIn Studio, Sessions, AI Mentor)
Which documents you opened and which you downloaded
Which playbook sections you marked complete
Which LinkedIn snippets you copied
Which LinkedIn banners you downloaded
Each AI Mentor question you ask (text and timestamp)
Payment events

T. Laketia reviews this activity to mentor you more effectively — for example, to know which Playbook modules you've worked through before a live session. Activity data is private to TheScope180, LLC and is not shared with other clients or with third parties for marketing purposes.

7. AI Mentor data flows

Each time you send a message to the AI Mentor:

The full text of your message is sent to Anthropic's Claude API along with relevant context (your playbook, documents, session transcripts, recent conversation)
The model returns a response, which is shown to you
Both your message and the AI's response are saved to your portal so the AI has memory across conversations
T. Laketia can read every Q+A pair through the admin interface — she uses this to spot-check the AI's quality, not to surveil your career thinking

If you do not want a particular question saved, do not ask it in the AI Mentor. The AI Mentor is not appropriate for medical, legal, mental-health, or other sensitive topics — please see the disclaimers in our Terms.

8. Cookies and local storage

The portal uses cookies and browser local storage to:

Keep you signed in (Firebase Auth)
Remember your theme preference (light/dark)
Cache static files for performance

We do not use cross-site advertising cookies or third-party tracking pixels on the marketing site (tlaketia.com public pages).

9. Data retention

We retain your portal account and the content within it for as long as you have an active relationship with us. If you ask us to delete your account, we will delete your portal documents, your AI Mentor conversations, your portal activity logs, and your account record within 30 days. We may retain a minimum record of completed transactions (date, amount, your email) for tax and accounting purposes for up to seven years, as required by applicable law.

10. Your rights

You have the right to:

Request a copy of the personal information we hold about you
Ask us to correct inaccuracies
Ask us to delete your account and personal information (subject to legal retention requirements)
Opt out of marketing emails at any time (we will still send transactional emails)

To exercise any of these rights, email tlaketiajones@gmail.com from the email address on file. We will respond within 30 days.

11. Security

We follow industry-standard security practices — including encryption in transit (HTTPS), encryption at rest for Firebase data, password hashing, restricted-access admin tooling, and HMAC-signed webhooks. No system is perfectly secure. Notify us immediately if you suspect a security incident affecting your account.

12. Children

The Services are intended for working professionals and are not directed to anyone under the age of 18. We do not knowingly collect information from children. If you believe a child has provided personal information to us, contact us and we will delete it.

13. International users

TheScope180, LLC is located in the United States. By using the Services you understand that your personal information will be processed in the United States, which may not provide the same level of data-protection law as your country of residence. If you are located in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, or another jurisdiction with specific privacy laws, you can exercise the rights described in section 10 above by contacting us.

14. Changes to this Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page and increment the version number. Material changes will be communicated via email and/or a notice in the portal. Continued use of the Services after a change constitutes your acceptance.
