Refund Policy

All sales are final. By purchasing any product or service from TheScope180, LLC (operating tlaketia.com), you agree that no refunds will be issued except as expressly described in this policy.

1. Why all sales are final

The products and services sold through tlaketia.com — the Career Intelligence Portal, the AI Mentor, the LinkedIn Studio add-on, mentorship sessions, and any other product offered through the Site — are digital and delivered immediately upon purchase. Your tailored Playbook is custom-built, your tailored LinkedIn copy is generated specifically for you, and mentorship sessions block T. Laketia's calendar time. Because of this, we cannot offer refunds once payment has been processed.

Partial use counts as delivery. Accessing the portal, downloading materials, attending a mentorship session, or using the AI Mentor constitutes partial or full delivery of the Service. Partial consumption is not grounds for a partial or full refund.

By completing your purchase, you confirm that you understand and accept this policy.

No employment guarantee. Payment is for access to the Services described above. Payment does not guarantee any career outcome — including but not limited to a job interview, job offer, salary increase, promotion, referral, introduction, or successful career transition. You are paying for materials, mentorship, and tools, not for a result. A career outcome that doesn't materialize is not grounds for a refund.

3. Mentorship session rescheduling

If you cannot attend a scheduled mentorship session, you may reschedule it once at no cost if you notify T. Laketia at least 24 hours before the scheduled session start time. To reschedule:

If you cancel within 24 hours of the session, or fail to attend (no-show), the session is forfeited. No refund will be issued and no rescheduling will be offered for that session. You may purchase a new session at the standard rate.

4. Exception: technical failure on our side

If we fail to deliver the Service you purchased due to a technical failure on our side — for example, your Playbook is never generated, your portal never unlocks despite a confirmed payment, or a mentorship session is cancelled by us and we cannot offer an alternative session time within thirty (30) days — we will, at our discretion, either deliver the Service or issue a full refund to your original payment method via PayPal.

To request review under this exception, email tlaketiajones@gmail.com within 14 days of the purchase date. Include the order ID (from your PayPal receipt) and a description of the issue.

5. Chargebacks and payment disputes

If you have a billing concern, contact us first at tlaketiajones@gmail.com. We will respond within three (3) business days and work to resolve the issue.

You agree not to initiate a chargeback, payment reversal, or dispute with PayPal, your card issuer, or any other payment processor without first attempting to resolve the matter directly with us. Filing a chargeback without prior contact may result in immediate suspension or termination of your portal access, forfeiture of any unused Services associated with the disputed charge, and reasonable cost recovery for the dispute (including chargeback fees imposed by the payment processor). We reserve the right to contest fraudulent chargebacks and provide supporting documentation to the applicable payment processor or financial institution. See also Terms section 10.

6. Promotional offers and coupons

Promotional offers, coupon codes (including MENTEE50 and any free-booking codes), and discounts are non-refundable, non-transferable, and have no cash value. They may not be combined unless we explicitly allow it. Coupons may be revoked at any time prior to redemption. Once redeemed, they cannot be reissued.

7. Force majeure

We are not responsible for delays or failures caused by events outside our reasonable control, including internet outages, platform outages, vendor disruptions (including but not limited to Firebase / Google Cloud, Anthropic, Mailgun, PayPal, Google Calendar / Meet, Marblism / Eva, or any other third-party service we rely on), natural disasters, public-health emergencies, labor interruptions, power failures, telecommunications failures, cyberattacks, or acts of government. Where such an event delays or prevents delivery of a Service, we will use commercially reasonable efforts to reschedule or redeliver as soon as the event resolves. A force-majeure event is not, by itself, grounds for a refund.

8. Future subscriptions

Future subscription-based services may be governed by additional billing and cancellation terms presented at checkout. Any recurring, auto-renewing, or subscription product introduced after the "Last updated" date above will display its full billing frequency, amount, renewal cadence, and cancellation method clearly before you authorize payment. The version of this Refund Policy in effect on the date of your purchase governs that purchase.

9. Changes to this policy

We may update this Refund Policy from time to time. The "Last updated" date and version number at the top of this page reflect when changes were last made.
